Power Drink Recipes



Fresh Orange Lemonade:

2 1/2 cups water
1 cup sugar or less
2 tablespoons orange zest
2 tablespoons of lemon zest
1 1/2 cups fresh orange juice (about 5 oranges)
1 1/2 cups of fresh lemon juice (about 8 lemons)
Ice Cubes
Citrus Slices and mint leaves for Garnish

In a medium saucepan combine the sugar and water cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.  remove from heat and cool. add the orange and lemon zest and juices to sugar mixture.  Cover and let stand at room temp for 1 hour.  cover and refridgerate until serving time.  Add ice and citrus slices for garnish.

Berry Power Smoothie



OMG!  This is absolutely a great drink anytime of the day!

1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup of soy milk or non fat milk
1/2 sliced banana
1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
1 cup of ice
1 teaspoon of crushed flaxseed or wheat germ
1 small kiwi

Mix ice , yogurt, milk, banana , blueberries and falxseed or wheatgerm in blender till smooth top with sliced kiwi and enjoy!
