Power Breakfast Recipes

These breakfast recipes will contain most of the power foods we talked about.

Power Breakfast with Oatmeal: 

This is delcious and energizing, you can substitute your berries for which ever ones you prefer...

1/2 cup instant quacker whole grain oatmeal
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of wheat germ
1/2 cup blueberries
1/4 chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon of brown sugar
1/4 cup non fat milk

make oatmeal as per box, then add brown sugar, wheat germ mix well, add milk then top with fresh blueberries and walnuts and enjoy. 

Talk about a great start to your day this is it!

Strawberry Banana Whole Grain  Power Pancakes

Cook up a bacth of these and know your feeding your body good.
I use Krusteaz Multigrain pancake mix!  You can choose any topping of fresh fruits like cranberries, bluberries, raspberries and add walnuts .... make it fun and healthy!

2 1/2 cups of pancake mix (prepare as directed on back of bag)
1 half cups of water
1 egg
1 teaspoon of crushed flaxseed or wheat germ
1/2 cup
1 banana

Make pancakes as directed on box just add the flaxseed and wheat germ to it.  Pour mix on griddle and makes a batch.  When done plate pancakes and top with sliced fres strawberries and banana's top with a light whip cream and enjoy!
